Environmental and sustainability aspects are becoming increasingly important in the development of release liners for self-adhesive labels. This is underlined by the market launch of an innovative liner with which the adhesive material specialists at VPF are now leading the way.

The adhesive material specialist VPF is expanding its range of adhesives with a new, strongly bonding hot-melt adhesive based on rubber. The product, named HM357, is specially developed for applications that call for a high shear strength in combination with high adhesive strengths.

The labelstock manufacturer VPF GmbH & Co.KG from Sprockhövel has registered a continuously growing demand for resource-friendly packaging solutions. After extensive coating tests, eight quality surface materials have now been selected which meet the high ecological requirements and can also be combined with various adhesives and liners. Those include paper-based as well as foil-based solutions for all common label printing processes. The products are available immediately, starting from a volume of 500 sqm.

The focus will be on sustainability and security while extensive additions to the portfolio for inkjet and laser printing processes for labels will be presented as well.
After a long development period and extensive test series, the labelstock manufacturer VPF GmbH & Co.KG from Sprockhövel is introducing a new PET high-performance adhesive bond for durable outdoor markings. The material is 55my strong, white-matte, furnished with a special top coat finishing and especially suitable for subsequent printing using thermal transfer processes. In various tests, the adhesive bond proved to be extremely resistant against UV radiation and chemicals as well as during fluctuations in temperature and humidity.
A whole raft of benefits can be expected from a new adhesive-coated labelstock made of grass paper – the latest ultra-sustainable addition to VPF’s product portfolio.Thanks to its strong ecological appeal, this material is especially suitable for printing labels for upmarket products in the food, beverages and cosmetics industries.
