FINAT conference to look at branding and labels as recession beaters

With the world's economic crisis causing some re-thinking on how to maintain and stimulate retail sales by making branding and labels create extra ‘buy me' appeal, leading branding expert and key note speaker Steve Kelsey will examine the issues of ‘Designing in a recession' in depth at FINAT's annual conference in June. 

The conference, being held at the Gloria Golf Resort, Antalya, Turkey between June 10 and 12, has chosen the theme ‘Strategies for growth in challenging times." 

Mr Kelsey is a founding partner and owner of the London-based PI Group, the largest independent brands and packaging consultancy in Europe. It is looking after all aspects of a brand from strategy, design, innovation and implementation and is working globally for blue chip, fast-moving consumer goods brand owners. 

Fromhis extensive experience in creative design, innovation and sustainability, Mr. Kelsey will address the challenges of designing in a recession. He will highlight the latest trends in branding, how they will be affected by fundamental socio-economic changes, and what should be design strategies for brand-owners in order to achieve growth under these circumstances.
