UPM Raflatac's new UL-certified products with higher heat resistance

UPM Raflatac is introducing a new UL-approved, durable label solution for electrical and electronic goods, their components and housing. PET Matt White TC 50 RX15 has been tested to withstand temperatures up to 200 °C and bonds strongly to galvanized and stainless steels.

At the same time, PET White TC 50 RC18 has been retested by UL under more rigorous conditions to take its temperature rating from 180 °C to 200 °C. This combination is suitable for aluminium and galvanized and stainless steel, as well as plastics such as PP and PE.

For label printers supplying durable solutions into electrical and electronics end-uses, UL-certified labels are essential. Both products have been tested according to the UL 969 standard for printing materials as a component of marking and labelling systems. Approved combinations of printing inks and TTR ribbons for these materials can be found on UL's website: http://www.ul.com/

In addition to providing outstanding durable performance, UPM Raflatac's UV-cured RC adhesives and catalyst activated RX adhesives are solvent-free, which significantly reduces environmental impacts compared to solvent adhesives. They fulfil performance requirements for a wide range of challenging conditions including exposure to heat, chemicals and weathering.
