UPM Raflatac expands its range of food-approved top coated label

UPM Raflatac is adding to its extensive range of food-safe labeling products in the European market with the addition of PP White FTC 60 and a food-approved version of its VANISHTM ultra-thin, clear PET label face material.

PP White FTC 60 is a multipurpose top-coated film designed for labeling applications on rigid packaging where good water, chemical, and oil resistance is required. The VANISHTM range of ultra-thin face materials makes it possible to create innovative and intricate food label designs on rigid plastic and glass packaging while providing consumers with an excellent view of the product. Furthermore, compared to other clear-film solutions, VANISHTM face material uses less raw material, making it a more economical and sustainable choice.

These new products will ensure that UPM Raflatac can continue to support its customers in creating attractive food labels that also meet strict consumer information and food safety regulations. The company's range of food-safe label materials and adhesives includes products designed specifically for use with ambient-temperature, chilled, and frozen foods, as well as adhesives and label materials for direct food labeling applications.

"We're proud to be able to offer our customers a wide choice of food-safe labeling options", says Jay Betton, Labeling Solutions Manager, Wine & Spirits, Food at UPM Raflatac EMEIA. "Our products are supported by Declarations of Compliance, and all our production units in Europe have a food safety management system that complies with the ISO 22000 food safety standard. Safety or compliance incidents that result in product recalls have huge implications for customers in the food supply chain. By choosing UPM Raflatac products our customers can avoid putting consumers, their brand, and their customers' brands at risk."
