A Successful Global Introduction of MPS’s extended Product Range at Labelexpo Europe 2013

With the presentation of cost-efficient to fully-automated press machinery and live demonstrations, MPS attracted an unprecedented number of visitors from around the world to stand 11Q40 during Labelexpo 2013.

MPS today announced a very successful Labelexpo Europe show held in Brussels 24-27 September 2013 exceeding all expectations in terms of sales targets and number of visitors to the stand. Under the theme “The Choice is Yours”, MPS presented a wide range of press solutions from efficient, cost-effective solutions to high-end, fully-equipped and automated machinery, and met with visitors from around the world.

Launched at Labelexpo Europe was the new EB flexo press, the most cost-effective press ever built by MPS. Designed for printing and converting self-adhesive labels, the new EB high-performance flexo press is a solution for label printers in all market segments. The debuted EB press demonstrated at the show was sold to Hine Labels, a self-adhesive label manufacturer based in the UK. Also unveiled at Labelexpo was the extended MPS EF multi-substrate press line, with three versions ranging in price level and level of automation. Multiple orders of all three versions of the new EF press line were received during the show including the demonstrated EF-APC Advanced press, which was sold to Scanket based in Denmark. Complementing the extensive product range offered in the MPS stand was the EXL-Packaging line with a hot air dryer and demonstrations of the revolutionary EXL-Offset press with variable sleeves.

MPS received visitors from over 90 different countries around the world to their stand, from new and emerging markets to areas where MPS is well-established. The diversity of geographical markets was also reflected in the signed orders received, including a contract for a new MPS EF press from a printer in Uzbekistan, and amongst others an order for an EF-APC Advanced press from a printer located in India. With a doubling of visitors at the MPS booth, high-quality contacts, and surpassing show sales goals with additional sales still under negotiation, MPS reports a very successful show. The next generation of flexo printing capabilities that was demonstrated with Kodak and Reproflex 3 in the MPS stand was also a success, and generated lots of new visitors on the second day of the event.

Eric Hoendervangers, MPS Commercial Director and Co-Founder reflects: “The awarded sales at Labelexpo Europe was characterized by a balanced division of existing and new customers and markets. We were pleased with the representation of the MPS distribution network in our stand, including our Chinese distributor Jebsen, attending Labelexpo Europe for the first time. The successful show is a result of the well-planned and executed sales strategy in the last few years, in which MPS increased its sales capacity by appointing new distributors and extending its sales and service network globally.”

Bert van den Brink, Technical Director and Co-Founder comments: “It is good to see the label market moving forward with confidence in the future. We noticed an enthusiastic and industry-wide trend of growth in this market and a positive vision of the future. The well-organized and executed show will certainly contribute to the continued growth of MPS.”
