A strategic choice of location for new Avery Dennison Distribution Centre in Romania

Avery Dennison Roll Materials Europe has officially opened its new distribution centre for Fasson-brand self-adhesive labelstocks in Timisoara, Romania.   Donald A Nolan, Group Vice President, Roll Materials, Avery Dennison, joined Angelo Depietri, Vice President and General Manager, Avery Dennison Roll Materials Europe, and local dignitaries to perform the traditional opening ceremony.

The new 3750M2 facility is equipped with the latest slitting, core cutting, rewinding, and automated packaging equipment, and has initially created 16 new jobs in Timisoara.   It supplies Fasson labelstocks to printer customers in Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, and Moldova as well as Romania.   Over 70 of those customers - specialist label printers - were also VIP guests at the official opening.

'Timisoara was a strategic choice of location,' said Donald A Nolan.   'As well as offering the best geographical access to our customers in south eastern Europe, it is a fine university town with an established infrastructure and transport connections, including the airport.   This is a key growth region for our business, and we are delighted to have a new facility in a location that is so well supported by its regional development authorities.'
