Schreiner VarioLight becomes Schreiner PrinTronics competence center

For almost ten years Schreiner VarioLight, the specialist for printed light of Schreiner Group from Oberschleissheim near Munich, Germany, has been developing and realizing light design solutions based on anorganic electroluminescence. In addition to the luminous films, the portfolio today includes printed conductor paths and multi-functional control surfaces for the products offered. This wide range of products will now be expressed in the division's name. Effective October 1, 2010, the development partner and supplier for printed electronics products will appear as a competence center named Schreiner PrinTronics.

Schreiner PrinTronics stands for the comprehensive extension of areas of expertise that has occurred during the past ten years and the advancement of the forward-thinking technology of "printed electronics." The company has been intensively working on the realization of film-based systems with integrated electronic functions and intelligently implements these product ideas. "Our strength is rooted in the power of innovation and the capability of combining a wide range of technologies with each other," says Roland Schreiner, who is responsible for Sales and Production at Schreiner Group.

Printed electronics is a growth market with major potential since the demand for thin, light-weight and flexible electronics is continually growing. From electroluminescence products and printed conductor paths all the way to multi-functional control surfaces, Schreiner PrinTronics develops and produces customized film-based solutions for the engineering and pharmaceutical industries or for product and brand protection, among other things.

Schreiner PrinTronics will retain the established brand name VarioLight for electroluminescence products. VarioLane stands for printed conductor paths, VarioTouch for solutions with capacitive sensors.
