Schreiner LogiData at LogiMAT 2013 in Stuttgart, Hall 4, Booth 629

Optimized production and logistics operations with RFID markings for metal components and containers

At LogiMAT 2013, Schreiner LogiData will be showcasing its product portfolio for RFID marking on metallic and conductive substrates. While conventional RFID transponders achieve only poor reading results there the ((rfid))-DistaFerr SL and ((rfid))-DistaFerr ESD labels ensure end-to-end documentation and efficient processes in production and logistics operations.

((rfid))-DistaFerr ESD: bulk data acquisition of ESD containers
Schreiner LogiData has designed the ((rfid))-DistaFerr ESD label for a long reading range of up to two meters even when ESD materials are present in the surrounding area. As a result, bulk data acquisition of containers stacked on pallets or forklifts is now possible, which reduces the amount of manual in-process work and enhances flow efficiency. Due to its thin construction and flexible material ((rfid))-DistaFerr ESD can be used on containers or production racks made of ESD plastics as well as on ESD components. With that, automatic data acquisition of empty containers and end-to-end documentation of cleaning cycles are possible as well.

((rfid))-DistaFerr SL (UHF): reduces container pool by a third
The use of RFID markings in logistics operations reduces container inventories by around 30 percent. Thanks to its special antenna technology the ((rfid))-DistaFerr SL (UHF) label can be used for reliable identification of loading aids, containers and cage pallets made of metal. Despite its small size of just 22.5 x 50 mm the RFID label achieves a reading range of up to four meters.

((rfid))-DistaFerr SL also allows operators to mark single metal components or entire assemblies with a small label on the spot. The label can be programmed and printed on-site using a TTR printer and is either applied by hand or directly in the process by an automatic dispensing system.
