Schreiner Group again Selects Ritrama as Top Supplier
Having previously been recognized as “Supplier of the year” by Schreiner Group in 2014, the Italian company Ritrama has received the award again for 2016, now marking the second time for the international manufacturer of self-adhesive materials to have won this accolade. In the evaluation process, Ritrama again impressed with top performance in the four categories of Quality, Logistics, Service and Costs. The award honors all of the supplier’s employees.
At Ritrama’s headquarters in Caponago, Italy, Norbert Kreitmeir, Team Leader Purchasing Raw Materials at Schreiner Group, on behalf of his team presented the award to Ritrama employees most directly involved in the relationship coming from Spain and Italy, at Ritrama, who accepted the prize in the name of the entire company. “This accolade deliberately goes to all of Ritrama’s employees,” Kreitmeir emphasized at the award ceremony. “They do an outstanding job day in day out to supply Schreiner Group with top-quality products. It is a great pleasure for us to be able to recognize the performance of our long-standing supplier in the form of this award for the second time. Tomas Rink, chairman of the Ritrama Group, expresses the pride of the company having been selected for the award once again: “For Ritrama, Schreiner Group is one of the most important global customers. The company continually issues new challenges to us that we are pleased to meet and with its high standards drives us to top levels of performance.”
Cooperation Based on Shared Values
Not least, the close cooperation on all operational and strategic levels, the trusting and open communication, and Ritrama’s appreciation of the high demands made by Schreiner Group and its customers were reasons for selecting the company for the award. Ritrama and Schreiner Group have common values and attitudes, both of which are very important criteria for an owner-managed medium-sized company. Ritrama has been Schreiner Group’s major supplier for several years, and thus one of its most important business partners.
The “Schreiner Preferred Supplier” Program
Every year, Schreiner Group compares its suppliers from strategically relevant material groups. The objective is to maintain and promote close cooperation with them in a way that continually inspires both parties. Additionally, early supplier involvement, open communication, reciprocal know-how transfer and a lean procurement strategy sustainably and continually improve the cost structure in the supply chain. Since the program’s launch in 2012, the overall performance delivered by Schreiner Group’s suppliers has been showing significant year-on-year improvement.
