Polyonics Displays Innovative Label Materials for Harsh Environments at LabelExpo 2016

Durable Automotive Labels

Polyonics thermal transfer printable automotive label materials include polyester (PET), high temperature polyimide (PI) and ultra-high temperature aluminum films, aggressive PSAs and are tested to the GMW 14573 standard.

ESD-Safe™ Labels

Polyonics ESD-Safe PI and PET label materials provide surface resistances greater than 10^4 and less than 10^11 Ohms, generate less than 125 volts with liner removal and comply with the ANSI/ESD S20.20, IEC 61340 and JEDEC JESD625B standards for charged insulators used in the proximity of ESD sensitive devices.

Metal Processing Tag and Label Materials

Polyonics durable barcode tag and label materials are thermal transfer printable and provide high UV, abrasion and tear resistances for tracking hot metals from furnace to customer delivery.

Aerospace Wire Markers

Polyonics halogen free flame retardant wire markers survive the harsh environments found in the aerospace industry including exposure to jet fuel, chemicals and fluids. Materials are available tested to the UL 94 VTM-0, Boeing 1347J, BSS 7238/7239 and FAR 25.853/25.855 standards for flammability, smoke and toxicity.

Laser Markable Label

The Polyonics durable PI and aluminum laser markable label materials can be ablated by low power lasers and provide resistance to extreme temperatures, harsh chemicals and high levels of abrasion.

Medical, Laboratory and Cryogenic Labels

Polyonics offers nylon, polyimide and PET label materials for laboratory, medical and cryogenic applications. In addition, laser markable label materials are available that comply with the UDI coating durability requirements for multi-cycle medical sterilization and wash applications.

Flame Retardant Labels

Polyonics halogen free flame retardant label materials include products tested or fully recognized by UL94 (VTM-0), tested to the aerospace FAR 25.853/25.855 and BSS 7238/7239 standards and meeting the automotive FMVSS 302 requirements
