Polyonics to Display Full Range of ANSI/ESD S20.20 Compliant Films, Tapes and Label Materials at the 2016 ESD Symposium

ESD-Safe™ Materials

Polyonics has developed a family of ESD-Safe polyimide and polyester (PET) tapes, films and label materials that comply with the S20.20, IEC 61340 and JEDEC JESD625B standards for charged insulators used in the proximity of ESD sensitive (ESDS) devices. The materials have durable static dissipative top coats with surface resistances greater than 10^4 and less than 10^11 Ohms and low charging pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA) and liners that generate less than 125 volts when separated.

The Polyonics ESD-Safe materials have proven to help electronics designers and leading manufacturers protect their static sensitive devices from voltages induced by charged devices (CDM) and are considered valuable elements in the successful ESD control plans of EMSs, ODMs, converters and OEMs worldwide.

Low Charging Label Materials

Polyonics 1.0 and 2.0 mil polyimide and PET label materials provide low charging voltages of less than 125V and can be applied to ESDS components and devices without causing immediate or latent ESD events. They're thermal transfer printable and include low charging liners.

Static Dissipative Films

Polyonics manufactures a wide variety of antistatic films for packaging and protecting ESDS devices. They include 1.0 mil clear and 2.0 mil white PET as well as 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 mil polyimide all with surface resistances greater than 10^5 and less than 10^9 Ohms.

Antistatic Tapes

Polyonics offers ESD-Safe clear and black polyimide and clear and white PET engineered tapes for protecting, insulating and isolating ESDS devices. The tapes provide static dissipative performances greater than 10^5 and less than 10^9 Ohms, low charging of less than 125v and include antistatic PSAs and liners.

Tapes are available with 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 mill films and 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 mil PSAs.
