OMET at Labelexpo Asia 2011: Well-established know-hos and most recent innovations

The Italian manufacturer of printing presses will stage at Shanghai Show its most established technology with a hint of innovation: a shorter web path introduced on Flexy F1 press.

OMET will present at Labelexpo Asia 2011 its ‘straight-out’ technology represented by the Flexy range of presses. Particularly, a rethought Flexy F1 will capture visitors’ attention introducing a shorter web path similar to what is present on the X-Flex range. We all know since long the Flexy F1 and appreciate its flexibility, extreme ease of use and quick job changeovers. Overall savings – of both time and material - are now a reality thanks to this OMET trade-mark, which ensures lower wastage on any run type. The new Flexy F1 offers a comprehensive range of technologies – in fact, it accepts water-based and/or UV flexo, silk-screen, inline hot and cold foil units – and is able to offer the maximum profitability and the highest performance with a special dedication to printers who are in a start-up phase with low experience and/or low budgets. “The Flexy range was OMET’s first bet 12 years ago and still has a lot to say on the market, especially in emerging countries”, explains Marco Calcagni, Sales Director of OMET, “it is simple in use, fast in start-up and has a reduced footprint. Following the same winning philosophy, but with a totally revisited electronics and mechanics, more compatible with today’s market requests, we have recently presented at Labelexpo Europe two brand new presses XFlex X4 and XFlex X2”. XFlex X4 and XFlex X2 have inherited from their elder sister X6, some of the winning points which helped make it a true breakthrough since its debut in Brussels four years ago: short web pass and time-to-register to reduce wastage levels and speed up the machine set-up, printing consistency in short runs and overall user friendliness through a facilitate access to the machine parts for components and groups interchange.
All this using traditional printing cylinders! It is a special gift for the companies who want to stick on this well-proven technology and are not ready yet to invest on a larger machine or educate operators to a new way of working, even as easy as the sleeve technology!

XFlex X4 and XFlex X2 differentiate on controls, which are servo for the major model – each print unit being equipped with twin servo-motors and including automatic registration through VISION-1advanced pre and register system. Consequently, XFlex X2, entirely mechanical, becomes the perfect answer for low budget companies who are eager to enter the label business with scarce or no experience. OMET will be happy to meet customers at booth A1 (Hall E1) where there will be time to discuss about the company’s flair for innovation to include the bright press solutions recently presented at Labelexpo Europe.
