Nilpeter Conducts Zoom-Based Demo & Training Session for 42 UPM Raflatac Employees

In January 2021, Nilpeter conducted a Zoom-based demo and training session for 42 employees of the global label manufacturer UPM Raflatac, the latest result of a close, mutually beneficial relationship between the two market-leading companies.

Set up by UPM Raflatac Technical Support Manager, Michael Drasch, and Nilpeter Area Sales Manager, Dan Wissing, the joint session covered Nilpeter’s portfolio in great details, focusing on everything from substrate capabilities to special equipment.

An Opportunity To Display Our Solutions
“COVID-19 has no doubt put strain on our flexibility when arranging demonstrations and training sessions for our customers and business partners, but since March 2020, we have been conducting a lot of online demos,” says Dan Wissing.

“We were contacted by Michael Drasch, who asked if we could arrange an online training session for his team, with the purpose of going through narrow-web offset, flexo, and digital printing technologies, and in-depth details about value-adding printing methods. The session had several participants from different locations across Europe, and although UPM’s technicians and employees were not able to get their hands on the equipment, the online demonstrations still gave us the opportunity to show our solutions to the technical team, building their skills to support our common customers as best as they can,” he continues.

“The coordination, planning, and training was a great success, and we look forward to more sessions in the future,” he concludes.

New Insight Into The Technological Opportunities
“This virtual training session organized together with Nilpeter, gave us at UPM Raflatac a new insight into the technological opportunities in printing and converting. There is a true value in the collaboration that we have built together with Dan Wissing on sharing knowledge of choosing the correct self-adhesive label material, and optimum printing, and converting,” says Michael Drasch, UPM Raflatac Technical Support Manager
