News from Geostick

Read about the Geostick Foundation and the company's recent move to Uithoorn.

Geostick Foundation

The Geostick Foundation supports, finances and stimulates national and international activities in the areas of sport, culture, social issues, education and sustainability. The activities of the foundation are focused on three elements: People, Planet and Profit. In 2020, the Geostick Foundation supported a number of large projects as well as a number of smaller and local initiatives. Two of them are:

  • Justdiggit: kick-starts large-scale landscape restoration projects by capturing rainwater and making it available for vegetation again. This prevents erosion, flooding and further land degradation. Vegetation can then recover.
  • Dokters van de wereld (Doctors of the world): This organisation provides medical assistance to underprivileged people in the Netherlands and the rest of the world. In more than 80 countries, help is offered to those who have no or poor access to medical care. Healthcare is not a privilege, but a human right.

Relocation The Hague completed

The relocation of all production resources from The Hague to Uithoorn has been completed. The last two printing presses were transported by special transport to the Uithoorn site at the beginning of February and are now operational again.

25 years of production in The Hague
Just over a year ago, we had to decide to leave The Hague. For 25 years, we have been able to produce self-adhesive labels, flexible packaging, shrink sleeves, card products and high-quality barcode labels there with a strong team. However, due to strong growth, the building was bursting at the seams. There were machines and materials in every nook and cranny and there was no way to expand. The decision to move to Uithoorn was therefore born out of luxury, and the construction of the high-tech Digital Printing Centre created a sea of space and plenty of opportunity for further growth. Both buildings in Uithoorn are equipped to a high standard and offer the colleagues from The Hague a very modern, pleasant and professional workplace. The extra travel time of 30 minutes on average is put down to the warm welcome, collegial atmosphere and beautiful new challenges that Uithoorn has to offer.

Marketing and sales organisation remains in The Hague
Production may have moved, but The Hague remains the beating heart of the Geostick Group's marketing and sales organisation. Our production locations remain closed by Covid for company visits, but should the measures be relaxed, we will open our doors to proudly show you our organisation.
