New HERMA self-adhesive material at LabelExpo 2013: Luxury for Wine and Sparkling Wine Labels

  • HERMAlux W enhances the HERMAexquisite range with a cast-coated and high-gloss paper surface.
  • An “ice bucket test” confirms good wet opacity.
  • The complete HERMAexquisite range is presented for the first time at LabelExpo.

There is a new addition to the successful HERMAexquisite self-adhesive material range for wine and champagne bottle labelling. The self-adhesive material specialist will present its HERMAlux W label material (grade 326) at LabelExpo (Hall 11, Stand R100). Its cast-coated and high-gloss paper surface produces an excellent print quality in all conventional printing processes. HERMAlux W is particularly suitable for high-quality labels with discerning multicolour printing. The material also stands out due to its good wet opacity, especially after an “ice bucket test” over several hours.

Strong in cool/moist environments
What's more, the complete HERMAexquisite range is on show for the first time at LabelExpo. In addition to the new innovation, it includes high-quality structured paper with the adhesive 62W as well as different transparent and white PP film with the adhesive 62XPC. The adhesive 62W is multi-layered and therefore provides particular benefits for cool/moist conditions. Regardless of the label material that the processing company selects, the labels do not peel off even after a long water bath. The two multi-layer adhesives can be processed as usual without any problems despite their excellent adhesion properties.
