MPS Flexographic Printing Presses to be Promoted at Label Forum Japan 2014

MPS joins its Japanese agent T&K Toka to present the MPS EB and EF printing presses, and is speaking during the conference program.

DIDAM, The Netherlands (July 17, 2014) – MPS today announced its participation with their agent T&K Toka at Label Forum Japan 2014, taking place July 22-23 in Tokyo, Japan. The two-day conference and table-top exhibition, sponsored by MPS/T&K Toka, is the largest gathering for the label and package printing industry in Japan. Visitors are welcomed to the MPS/T&K Toka joint booth J1 to learn more about the benefits of EB and EF flexographic press lines for Japanese label and flexible packaging production.

From letterpress to flexo; step-up, cost down
Erik Blomjous, MPS Sales Manager will be speaking during the conference program on the second day of Label Forum Japan, about the transitioning from rotary letterpress to flexographic printing in the Japanese label market. He will explain the differences between the two printing technologies, highlight the advantages and disadvantages, and provide key considerations when implementing a flexographic printing press environment.

T&K Toka has collaborated with Kodak Japan and MPS customer Takara Pac to prepare flexographic print samples for distribution to booth visitors at Label Forum Japan. The samples were developed with Kodak’s endless flexo plates and spotless technology, and printed with T&K Toka’s UV flexo inks on an MPS UV flexo press owned by Takara Pac.

MPS Sales Manager Erik Blomjous comments: “I look forward to presenting during the conference at Label Forum Japan, to explain our view to show visitors the differences between rotary letterpress printing and flexographic printing. Having print samples on-hand to distribute during the shared table-top exhibition with T&K Toka will demonstrate the superior offset-matching quality in terms of print quality, predictability and repeatable results of MPS flexo presses in the shortest possible time and the lowest cost per 1,000 labels.”
