Mitsubishi HiTec Paper Europe draws positive Drupa conclusion

Mitsubishi HiTec Paper Europe has drawn a positive conclusion of its presence at Drupa 2012 under the motto “Print… Profit… Preserve!” and reported a very high level of enquiries from visitors to their stand at Drupa. Mitsubishi’s new products shown at Drupa 2012 combine both best functionality and high level of environmental consciousness – for the benefit of customers and users. Claudia Vogel, General Manager Sales & Marketing, says, ''we are now busy contacting the visitors and following them up through our International network of sales staff and agents”. Particular interest was shown in the following types of speciality coated papers.

JETSCRIPT Inkjet Paper
Mitsubishi launched a new semi-glossy – double side coated – inkjet paper designed for the key OEM presses. The new paper focuses in particular on the high end brochure printing and direct mail and completes the wide range of products for commercial inkjet printing. The unique semi glossy inkjet coating met with the greatest interest from potential buyers. The product is now available.

Also, Mitsubishi presented a full range of coated inkjet papers for "White Paper Solutions" for colour transactional and transpromotional printing, direct mail, brochures or book printing. Part of the range were also matte and glossy coated inkjet papers, which were specifically designed for the self adhesive label industry who are looking for a quality coated face paper for impressive colourful label applications. All grades are FSC-certified and are suitable for the normal recycling system.

THERMOSCRIPT Thermal Paper
Visitors were impressed by the thermal papers on environmentally friendly recycled base paper, which focus on the concept of sustainability. The products are made from 100% FSC recycled pulp. Key features such as smoothness, brightness, stability, printability and print head behaviour were shown. Mitsubishi offers the recycled thermal paper grades currently in weights of 80g and 170g. They are used for lottery tickets, parking tickets or admission tickets. At the same time, Mitsubishi presented to interested visitors innovative security features for thermal paper with a high degree of protection against forgery. Whether coloured centre, watermarks or digital watermarks, security fibres, or even a combination of several features - the product range is wide. These thermoscript products are not only used in the area of event tickets, but in many other applications as a security solution of choice.

GIROFORM Carbonless Paper
Giroform DIGITAL is perfectly suited for the production of high quality, personalised carbonless forms. With a standard of 90g/m2 and a brand new, at Drupa introduced light
weight version of 60g/m2, Mitsubishi HiTec Paper assures optimal print quality on digital, laser and offset presses. Visitors were very impressed with the new Giroform DIGITAL Light multipart samples that were printed live on the booth on Konica Minolta's bizhub C754. While Giroform Digital was designed for presses like HP Indigo and Kodak Nexpress, Giroform DIGITAL Light is perfect for black and white or colour printing on office and industrial presses and has been tested on Canon's imagePRESS and Konica Minolta's bizhub series. Both grades are FSC certified and Nordic Swan approved.
