Marzek Etiketten+Packaging wins the Golden Rooster (Goldener Hahn)

An extraordinary label entered by Marzek Etiketten+Packaging in the packaging category of this year's Golden Rooster (Goldener Hahn) competition, the major Lower Austrian Advertising Award, convinced the jury. The trophy was presented during a ceremony at Marzek Etiketten+Packaging in Traiskirchen. The clients David Kerschbaum and Georg Toifl were pleased, as well as the owners.

The task for the label specialist in Traiskirchen was to impressively stage a joint project of the renowned wineries David Kerschbaum in Mittelburgenland and Georg Toifl in Weinviertel. The two winemakers had set themselves the goal of jointly marketing two of their best wines, namely Blaufränkisch from the Mittelburgenland region and Grüner Veltliner from the Weinviertel, under the name WANTED - White & Red - Gesucht & Gefunden (Searched and found).

The design team of Marzek Etiketten+Packaging has perfectly visualised this bridge from the Weinviertel to Burgenland: Illustrator and painter Jakob Kohlmayer created a striking countenance from the two different faces of the two winemakers, one half of which now adorns each wine and can also be seen on the 2-pack gift box. "We are very pleased that the jury has rewarded our creativity in design and our expertise in implementation with a Golden Rooster," says Dr. Michael Wareka of Marzek Etiketten+Packaging, commenting on the awarding of the sought-after Lower Austrian advertising Award to his company.

After the selection of the winner of the Golden Rooster had taken place virtually due to Corona, Andreas Kirnberger, chairman of the advertising & market communication section of WKNÖ, personally presented the coveted trophy to the winners on 7 July at the premises of Marzek Etiketten+Packaging in Traiskirchen. The clients David Kerschbaum and Georg Toifl were just as enthusiastic about the award as the owner family. "We are pleased to have received the jury's approval for this year's Lower Austrian State Advertising Award with this cooperation and the illustration by Jakob Kohlmayer and the usual professional cooperation with Marzek Etiketten+Packaging, which also implemented the printing of the labels in high quality," David Kerschbaum sums up. Georg Toifl, owner of Weingut Georg Toifl, adds: "In the WANTED project, our customers are thrilled by the symbiosis of two passionate winemakers and wines full of character, which was wonderfully staged by the outstanding design of Marzek in cooperation with the illustrator Jakob Kohlmayer".

Of course, Marzek Etiketten+Packaging realised the creative idea with its usual high-quality technology. The division of the portrait was supported by the colouring and the use of uncoated paper. The striking lettering was highlighted with screen black. The result was a total work of art that was rightly awarded the Golden Rooster and continues the long list of awards for Marzek Etiketten+Packaging in a worthy manner. "We congratulate the company very warmly for this latest award. It is really great that we have such a creative and highly modern company in Lower Austria," chairman Andreas Kirnberger joins the well-wishers.

Just recently, Marzek Etiketten+Packaging was once again awarded numerous prizes at the FINAT International Label Awards. FINAT, the European label industry association, annually selects the best labels in Europe, recognising their role as effective marketing and advertising tools as well as their perfect technical implementation. As in the previous year, Marzek Etiketten+Packaging was once again able to collect renowned prizes this year and win 3 Category Awards and a further 4 Highly Commended Certificates.
