With a comprehensive investment programme, Marzek Etiketten+Packaging is continuing to focus consistently on technological progress this year. As one of the first companies worldwide and the first in Austria, the label and packaging specialist is expanding its machinery in Traiskirchen with the latest HP Indigo 6K+ digital offset press, setting new standards in print quality, productivity and automation.
Given the growing demand from customers for faster customisation and shorter lead times, it is crucial for Marzek Etiketten+Packaging to deliver with precision and efficiency. The HP Indigo 6K+ digital offset press, equipped with the new SmartControlSystem, enables the company to directly meet these operational requirements with high productivity, reliability, operational robustness and exceptional versatility. In practice, this means faster setup, consistency in repeat jobs and faster changeovers between different substrates, enabling Marzek Etiketten+Packaging to shorten turnaround times while maintaining the high quality expected by customers. In addition, the ability to connect to the press via the PrintOS APP provides a production control centre for monitoring processes and retrieving reports.
Marzek Etiketten+Packaging had already proven its pioneering role in the industry in 2009 with the first Europe-wide commissioning of an HP Indigo WS 6000. In 2020, the purchase of an HP Indigo 6K marked another technological quantum leap – once again as the first company in Austria. And, of course, the HP Indigo 6K+ also offers this added value: an extensive portfolio of special colours and a wide range of finishing options enable the production of high-resolution prints in excellent quality for a wide variety of applications, from self-adhesive labels, in-mould labels, wrap-around labels and flexible packaging to folding cartons. The ability to directly integrate variable data such as personalised text, images or barcodes and to process a wide variety of substrates opens up a wide range of design options – and makes each label unique. Further investments in the industrial sector
In addition to the purchase of the HP Indigo 6k+, extensive investments were also made in the industrial sector for large print runs. "Apart from high-quality special labels with all finishes, our focus is on large print runs and ecological label and packaging solutions for our industrial customers, which naturally meet the highest industrial quality criteria," says Stefanie Wareka, explaining the strategic orientation in the industrial segment. Further investments in digital and hybrid technologies are planned for the coming years, both for highly finished labels and industrial mass production, in order to secure Marzek Etiketten+Packaging's pioneering role in printing innovations in the future.
