Maestri Etichette buys SCREEN Truepress Jet L350UV SAI E to strengthen position in Italian label print market

Consistent growth and a strategic decision to expand in digital printing led Maestri Etichette to acquire a SCREEN Truepress Jet L350UV SAI E, its first digital inkjet press. The label specialist, based in the northern Italian province of Brescia, relies on inkjet technology to meet demand for increasingly varied and smaller print runs for its customers in the food, personal care, chemicals, and pharma sectors.

“We want to be recognised for reliability, quality and professionalism – and the SCREEN press helps us achieve exactly that,” says Moreno Maestri, owner and sales manager of Maestri Etichette. The SCREEN press provides the print quality and flexibility Maestri requires. “We built our reputation on responding flexibly to customers’ demand,” says Maestri. “One of our strongest qualities, flexibility is key to consistent growth. And even in the difficult COVID-year of 2021, it helped us achieve 9% revenue growth.”

Inkjet digital is expanding fast in Italy
In selecting and installing the SCREEN Truepress Jet L350UV SAI E, Maestri was supported by SCREEN’s Italian representative REM. Led by Ettore Maretti, REM provided the technical and economic conditions to enable this new installation, Maestri said. As its partner, REM has been at the forefront of a rapid expansion of digital inkjet printing in the Italian market, installing many SCREEN presses over the past few years.

Building on the technology of the most stable and successful printers of its kind, the SCREEN Truepress Jet L350UV SAI series offers improved colour reproduction as well as superior scalability, enabling it to meet an even wider variety of market needs than previous generations of inkjet technology.

Maestri Etichette expects that its focus on innovative technology will lead to additional investments in digital inkjet printing technology in the next few years.
