LabelExpo inspires HERMA UK to launch fundraising campaign

Six-day event starts on September 18th
• Employees of HERMA UK are to cycle 300 miles to LabelExpo in the name of charity
• £ 20,000 already raised before the first stage

The HERMA UK team are making good progress with their training regime. The seven cycling enthusiasts are covering a lot of miles in a bid to reach peak condition for the start of the special six-day event. The 300-mile charity ride to the LabelExpo fair starts on September 18th. Six stops are planned between the departure point at head office in Newbury and the team's arrival in Brussels. Even more impressive than the riders' current fitness levels is the steady increase in the amount of money – the primary object of the campaign – that has already been raised. The sum collected for Cancer charities and the Namuwongo community in Uganda currently stands at £ 20,000. Having set what he considered a realistic target of £ 15,000, HERMA UK Division Director Colin Phillips is delighted with the interim total. "We are very grateful to all those who have so generously supported the campaign already," he says, "but we are not finished yet. We are eager to raise more funds for these good causes because the people who ultimately benefit genuinely need all the help they can get." The proceeds of the campaign are to be donated to three charities, namely Cancer Research UK, Breast Cancer UK, and Events for Namuwongo, an aid organisation that supports the community of the same name on the edge of Kampala in Uganda.

Making a donation could hardly be easier. Three options are available: first, you can contact HERMA UK's Helena Jones either by e-mail (helena.jones@herma.co.uk) or by phone on +44 1635 31331. Ever eager to publicise the campaign, Colin Phillips points to the other options, "You can use the fundraising page button on the company's website at http://www.herma-material.co.uk/en/, or follow www.facebook.com/HERMAmaterial for more information on the tour." The company also intends to highlight some of the donors on its website. Those wishing to be featured in this way after making a donation are invited to e-mail their logo to info@herma-material.de. "We would like as many people as possible to support the initiative, join us in welcoming the team as they arrive at the LabelExpo in Brussels, and visit HERMA on Booth 11R100 in Hall 11," concludes Colin Phillips.
