Interview Opportunity at Pharmapack 2026: Schreiner MediPharm to Showcase Innovative Security and Digitalization Solutions

At Pharmapack 2026, Schreiner MediPharm is going to present innovative functional labels for the pharmaceutical industry. One of the highlights will be the evolution of the successful Needle-Trap system that is now available also for large-volume syringes. The label-integrated needlestitck protection solution has been adapted for use with 2.25-ml-, 3-ml-, and 5-ml-syringes, thus specifically addressing requirements of modern biologics and biosimilars. Needle-Trap reliably protects the needle after an injection, can be efficiently integrated into existing packaging processes in pharmaceutical manufacturing, and due to reduced material consumption contributes to more sustainability and cost savings along the supply chain.

Get to know Needle-Trap for large-volume syringes and other product innovations from Schreiner MediPharm at Booth 4B18 during Pharmapack 2026 in Paris from January 21 and 22. Other new developments include Cap-Lock for Vials and deep-freeze seals for extreme sub-zero temperatures. In addition, there will be live RFID demonstrations making the potential of RFID uses in the healthcare sector a tangible on-site experience.

Cap-Lock for Vials
Cap-Lock for Vials is a novel tamper-evident closure solution combining an irreversible first-opening indication with digital features. Integrated RFID technology enables digital first-opening detection, automated tracking of individual vials on unit level, and reliable authentication, supporting efficient processes in medication and supply chain management.

Deep-Freeze Seals Down to −196 °C
In addition, Schreiner MediPharm is showcasing its new Deep-Freeze Seal delivering reliable performance even at extremely low temperatures down to −196 °C. A dual security mechanism with a multi-tear effect ensures that tampering attempts are immediately visible—both by the irreversible destruction of the seal and fiber tear of the folding box. The deep-freeze seal is available in variants for dispensing at 10 °C and down to −50 °C, meeting the requirements of the EU Falsified Medicines Directive and ISO 21976.

RFID Demonstrator
The company’s trade show demonstration will be rounded off by an RFID demonstrator. In a live demonstration, Schreiner MediPharm is going to show how RFID-Labels with an integrated digital sealing feature automatically capture the first opening of a drug container, enabling seamless tracking of its integrity on unit level.
