Interview Opportunity at Pharmapack 2019: Smart Vial Kit for Digital Therapy Monitoring
Medication non-adherence poses great challenges to pharmaceutical companies. If patients fail to correctly take medicines, this may result in negative consequences for their health and cause them to doubt the effectiveness of a medication. In the case of clinical trials, the approval of new medicines may be delayed or even prevented.
Schreiner MediPharm's newly developed smart packaging solution "Smart Vial Kit" helps prevent such scenarios by enabling electronic tracking and monitoring of medication administration and intake. Schreiner MediPharm will present this novel solution for digital therapy monitoring for the first time at Pharmapack 2019 at Booth B32 in Hall 7.2.
Smart Packaging for Digital Therapy Monitoring
Meet with the experts and learn how patients and other stakeholders can benefit from medication adherence monitoring using Smart Vial Kits. The kit equipped with printed electronics generates data in real time and stores them in the smart packaging. Subsequently, the data can be read by NFC (Near Field Communication) or Bluetooth with a smartphone app and transmitted for further analysis.
When the Smart Vial Kit is used in clinical trials the administration of medicines to the trial participants can be precisely tracked and the effectiveness of new drugs unequivocally proven. In addition, the tool reduces documentation requirements, offers flexibility in adapting trial designs and shortens trial periods before drug approvals.
Other product highlights at Schreiner MediPharm's trade fair booth will be the Smart Blister Pack for enhanced medication adherence by patients, an NFC label for digital authentication of autoinjectors as well as UV and light protection labels for liquid medicines in glass containers.
