HP drives future of print workflows with 100th installation of Latex R530 and success with HP PrintOS

HP today announced important milestones within its Large Format Printing strategy: the 100th installation of the HP Latex R530 Printer, the 1000th order from a customer via the HP PrintOS Production Hub and the introduction of the new HP PrintOS Software Suite. Designed specifically for small and medium-sized print service providers (PSPs), this software solution provides access to premium HP PrintOS Production Hub applications and HP Learn Premium content. It aims to simplify production processes and leverage digital workflows.

These milestones underscore HP's ongoing commitment to innovation and customer success in the large format printing sector. By combining hardware with intelligent software solutions, HP helps PSPs improve efficiency and expand their application capabilities to meet growing market demand.

FASTSIGNS installs the 100th HP Latex R530

FASTSIGNS, a visual communications and signage company, has added the HP Latex R530 to its production line, marking the 100th installation of this printer worldwide since its launch in March. This milestone reflects FASTSIGNS' vision of driving innovation within large format printing and strengthening their network with advanced technology for increased competitiveness and impactful results.

The HP Latex R530 is designed to remove key obstacles in printing for smaller PSPs. It is the industry's only compact all-in-one HP Latex printer and offers a cost-efficient, space-saving solution for both rigid and flexible media. With features such as seamless switching between substrates, vibrant colours and smooth transitions with HP Pixel Control technology, built-in automation for ink recirculation and printhead cleaning, the R530 delivers consistent quality with minimal downtime. The use of single-phase power also increases accessibility for businesses with limited space.

"With the installation of the HP Latex R530, we expect significant improvements in our production efficiency and pricing strategy,’ said Steve Brennock, owner of FASTSIGNS-Tigard. "We can now confidently meet tight deadlines. Being able to print directly on boards has greatly improved our turnaround times and allows us to offer more competitive prices without compromising on quality."

"The HP Latex R530 is a great example of how we aim to remove real obstacles for print providers," said Daniel Martinez, SVP and Division President, HP Large Format Printing. "The 100th installation is a proud moment and highlights the value of HP Latex technology to our customers. By combining versatility, quality and ease of use in one compact device, we help PSPs work more efficiently and exploit new applications - without compromising on sustainability."

The HP Latex R530 enables efficient execution of complex applications such as double-sided printing and second-surface printing. This allows FASTSIGNS to better address various customer needs with consistent output quality. ‘We are very excited about the ability to run double-sided and second-surface applications with much greater efficiency,’ continued Steve Brennock. "This allows us to meet diverse customer requests faster and more effectively with the quality we strive for." The user-friendly interface and plug-and-play installation allowed for quick integration into existing workflows, improving productivity. Combined with HP PrintOS Production Hub, the R530 also provides centralised, real-time management of jobs and production, giving PSPs greater visibility, control and scalability as they grow.

Launch of new HP PrintOS Software Suite and Fordingbridge Print celebrates 1000th order via HP PrintOS Production Hub

HP introduces the HP PrintOS Software Suite: a standalone software solution that provides affordable access to all premium HP PrintOS Production Hub applications and HP Learn Premium content, to streamline PSPs' workflow from order to delivery.

This solution is designed for PSPs who want to digitise their processes without additional investment in hardware. It simplifies and automates workflows, supports remote production and provides advanced training - all within one intuitive platform.

The suite includes carefully selected applications that address the day-to-day needs of PSPs, including Order Management, Live Production, HP Learn Premium and Design & eCommerce. Optimised for HP Latex and HP Stitch, it also provides printer-independent tools to improve workflows and support sustainability through the new HP Sustainability Amplifier programme. This addresses challenges such as fragmented processes, manual tracking and limited production visibility. It helps PSPs digitise their operations, reduce errors and increase efficiency.

A good example of the impact of HP PrintOS is Fordingbridge Print, the first user of the HP PrintOS Production Hub, which recently placed its 1,000th order through the system. This milestone highlights how PrintOS contributes to digital transformation and shows how HP continues to drive customer-centric development. The platform has bridged key gaps in production processes and continues to evolve based on real-world experience.

"We have been looking for a solution to bridge the gap between our CRM and production system for more than a decade. In just a few days, HP's Production Hub has taken us further than ever before," said Andrew Wilson, managing director of Fordingbridge Print (part of the Time2display group). "It has streamlined our workflow and made everything more visual. Everyone knows what is going on, who is responsible and where each task is. That visibility is a gamechanger."
