HERMA Introduces Self-adhesive QR Code Labels

Deferred application of quick response (QR) codes made simple / HERMA QR code labels made from opaque special paper for outstanding readability / White permanent labels available in two formats.

They are square, useful and very smart - the QR codes that are appearing with increasing frequency in advertisements, on product packaging and promotional items. Smartphone users can instantly scan the codes, which consist of black and white square dots, with the phone's camera. Without the nuisance of keying-in a code, the phone immediately displays the information created by the code generator. Scanning a QR code can display text or contact information, open a web page or start a product video in the telephone's browser.

With its self-adhesive QR code labels, HERMA is now making it easy for users to apply their own handy codes subsequently to practically any surface. Above all, high contrast holds the key to good readability. For this reason, the HERMA QR code labels are not only white, but also opaque. Nothing can show through the label and cause the smartphone camera to give a false reading. The new labels are available with immediate effect in 25-sheet packs - in the 40 x 40 mm format for QR code only, and the 80 x 40 mm format to accommodate a code and additional text. Laser and inkjet printers, as well as copiers, deliver excellent results with these labels.
