Geostick: The road to ISO 22000 FSSC (Food Safety) certification!

In a market where there is increasing attention for healthy and safe food, Geostick has decided to certify all its production sites for food safety in accordance with the ISO 22000 FSSC certificate. With this certificate we further sharpen our quality awareness and add another ISO-certification to our integrated quality standard.
The subsidiary in The Hague already had a food safety certificate and the Heumen branch achieved this at the end of 2020. In Uithoorn, the process has now also started, with the aim of being certified by the end of March 2021 in both the conventional and the (new) digital printing works.

Supplier to the food industry
Geostick is an important supplier to the food producing and processing industry. With the relocation of production for a number of "food customers" from The Hague to Uithoorn, food safety is also an important theme in Uithoorn.
Quality and quality certifications are not a paper exercise for us, but are supported by the entire organisation. This means that everyone within Geostick is trained and is part of the joint effort when it comes to quality. This is how we can best assist food producers in making safe choices in the field of labels, tags and flexible packaging.

Food Safety Team
To achieve this, a Food Safety Team has been formed that will determine the food safety risks in the entire process and further minimise these where necessary. This team consists of committed colleagues from every department who will help our organisation build a food-safe production environment in both the existing and the new print shop in Uithoorn.
In the coming months, we will be working hard to obtain the certificate in March 2021, so that we can supply our Food customers in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 22000 FSSC certificate.
