Flint Group presented a nyloprint® programme at the 8th Pan European High Security Printing Conference in Vienna

From March 8 to March 13, 2011 the 8th Pan European High Security Printing Conference took place in Vienna. About 300 participants and more than 40 exhibitors from around the world visited the event. Interested parties and security printing customers took the opportunity to gather information on security features, protecting banknotes and travel documents from forgery and the latest developments on electronic ID cards. Maximum precision and reproducible quality are a must for security printing. Flint Group Flexographic Products, the leading manufacturer of digital letterpress plates for security printing, presented the comprehensive nyloprint® product portfolio for security printing during the complementing in-house exhibition.

nyloprint® letterpress plates are used for the direct and indirect printing of banknotes, securities and cards. In intaglio printing, nyloprint® gravure printing plates act as master forms used in the galvanic processing of the actual printing plate.  In close cooperation with customers and based on many years of experience, developed nyloprint® stencil plates are used for inking-up the impression cylinder in intaglio printing presses.

Various well-known banknote printers use nyloprint® printing plates as dry offset plates for banknote background printing. Digital printing plates will become more and more interesting for customers since film manufacturers announced that they will no longer produce special films for security plate making in the future. Additionally, digital imaging significantly improves quality and increases production safety, which is a main requirement in security printing.
