Flint Group Announces Changes to its Senior Management Team in Africa

Flint Group Africa / Continental Printing Inks has today announced that Sampie Hamman will be stepping down from his role as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), with effect from 31 May 2016, after more than 21 years of service.

Mr. Hamman joined Continental Printing Inks in 1994 and under his leadership, has built the Group to its current position as the largest supplier of printing inks to the Sub-Sahara African market.

Speaking about the announcement, Mr. Hamman said, “It has been an emotional decision but it comes at the right time after 21 rewarding years working with some fantastic people in an exciting industry. I’m very proud to be leaving the company well positioned for future growth as part of a major multinational business.”

Pieter Jordaan, Commercial Director, for Flint Group Africa / Continental Printing Inks, has been appointed as Vice President & General Manager Africa to help support the organisation’s continued development. In this new role, Pieter will report directly to Doug Aldred, President Flint Group Packaging and Narrow Web division.

Antoine Fady, Chief Executive Officer, Flint Group said, “I would like to place on record my thanks to Sampie for all of his hard work and support in helping Flint Group to establish a leading position in Africa.” He continued, “Sampie will remain on the board of Flint Group Africa to ensure a smooth transition. In the meantime, Flint Group’s Board remain fully committed to supporting Pieter Jordaan and his executive team who will continue to drive the Group’s vision and objectives for the benefit of clients, employees and shareholders.
