Esko addresses rise in sustainability regulation in packaging through co-hosted webinar with CarbonQuota

Webinar addresses the number one challenge facing today’s converters

Esko, the global provider of integrated solutions for the packaging and label industry, continues to underline the importance of sustainability in packaging production, helping businesses reduce their environmental impact and comply with evolving regulatory requirements.

“Sustainability is a core focus for our customers,” said Esko CMO Jan De Roeck. “As the packaging industry evolves, sustainability is no longer a choice but is now a non-negotiable business imperative. For Esko, this means supporting brand owners and their packaging partners who are under considerable pressure to respond to legislative changes, consumer needs and who might need support to accelerate their sustainability commitments. That’s why we continue to develop tools specifically designed to optimize efficiency and minimize waste across the entire packaging production process.

“Esko is acutely aware of the role it plays in delivering quality and operational efficiency gains for businesses through digitalization, automation and connection of disparate steps in the packaging development processes,” he said. “We are reimagining the entire process, driven by our S2 platform and AI, building solutions that enable businesses to minimize their impact on the environment by eliminating errors and reducing waste in the production process, while speeding up and connecting processes and devices efficiently.”

Jan was speaking at the launch of the latest Esko software suite, Esko 25.03, and ahead of a new webinar focused on empowering brands and their label and packaging converters to not only meet the growing customer demand for more sustainably produced packaging, but also to make more informed decisions that positively impact their own carbon footprint in response to a fast changing legislative backdrop.

“We’re proud to be co-hosting the Redefining Packaging: Sustainability Beyond Compliance webinar, which will examine the constantly evolving regulatory landscape and look ahead to how businesses can prepare for the challenges and implications that may lay ahead,” said Jan.

Organized in partnership with CarbonQuota®, the webinar on 1 April 2025 will focus on how data and digitalization in packaging are serving to unlock sustainability for their packaging and label converters.

The free webinar will outline a roadmap to navigate sustainability in 2025 and beyond, including:
