Domenico Tessera Chiesa Elected New Gipea President

On 18 May 2012, in Colombaro di Corte Franca (BS), the Gipea Assembly took place to renew board membership. Domenico Tessera Chiesa (Sales S.p.A.) was elected President. He succeeds Alfredo Pollici (Notarianni S.r.l.), who remains on the Board of Directors as Past President.

Born in Turin in 1973 and with a degree in Economics and Commerce, Domenico Tessera Chiesa carried out part of his studies at the Copenhagen Business School. After a variety of professional experiences in London with FIAT UK, SONY and Avery Dennison UK, in 1998 he joined the family business (Sales S.p.A.) where he underwent an intense learning experience, working in the different departments and manufacturing divisions. At the beginning of 2002 he assumed the charge of CEO, which he still holds. He speaks English and French fluently, is a vegetarian, fond of music and motorcycling, and has a splendid little girl.

The new Gipea Board of Directors was also renewed: now is formed by Vice-president Alberto Quaglia (Aro S.p.A.), Paolo Boldoni (Mida S.r.l.), Marco Caciotti (La Cromografica S.p.A.), Lidia Cattaneo (Eurolabel S.r.l.), Riccardo Fadiga (Arca Etichette S.p.A.), Alberto Ghiotto (Sutermeister S.p.A.), Giancarlo Vimercati (Pilot Italia S.p.A.) and Barbara Zoni (Poliweb Graphics S.r.l.).

The new President, thanking all members and in particular the retiring President Alfredo Pollici for the important work performed for the Group, expressed his enthusiasm for “those who have seen the Gipea Group grow to become an important reality at the service of the sector. The challenge, especially in the context of this economic crisis, consists in giving to our members a real added value, working passionately to grow together.”

Gipea or “Gruppo Italiano Produttori Etichette Autoadesive” (www.gipea.net) was founded in 1989 in the ambit of Assografici. It associates 88 printers specialized in the production of roll self-stick labels and 29 suppliers of raw materials and technologies.
