Cosmo Films starts operations in Poland

Cosmo Films has recently set up a wholly owned step down subsidiary in Poland namely Cosmo Films Poland SP.Z.O.O. in February 2018 for the purpose of sale and distribution of its wide range of BOPP and CPP films. With this, the company intends to provide better service in Eastern and Western Europe by offering quicker response times. According to Mr. Daksh Malik, Sales & Operations Head for Eastern Europe, Cosmo Films, “Poland is the biggest market for packaging grade film in Central and Eastern Europe and it is a convenient location in the very centre of Europe making it a perfect investment destination for targeting both Western and Eastern part of the continent. It also has a qualified and competitive labour force.”

The company is focussing on their speciality products in the region through its new set up. Mr. Malik said, “We would primarily be promoting our speciality products like barrier films, synthetic paper, lidding films, wrap around label films, pressure sensitive label stock films, direct thermal printable films, acrylic and PVDC coated films, high hot tack & high seal strength metalized BOPP Film, low SIT transparent & metalized films and cold seal release films in the region. As far as thermal lamination films are concerned, we are the market leader in Poland.”

Speaking on the development, Mr. Pankaj Poddar, CEO, Cosmo Films said, “Poland is the fastest growing economy in Europe and has the biggest consumer market. We have strategically set up our operations in Poland as Europe is an important market for us. With our extended range of speciality films and our customized innovation focus, we are confident of meeting the new emerging needs of the customers in the continent and at the same time our proximity with the customers will help us serve them better.”
