ABG continues Americas promotion with equipment showcase at Dscoop

Following on from the success of their inaugural presence at Labelexpo Mexico 2023, A B Graphic International (ABG) showcased its digital finishing capabilities at Dscoop, which took place at the Edge St. Louis World Expo, on 7-10 May.

Two machines were on display at Dscoop - a beverage specification Digicon Series 3 and a Shrink Sleeve Seaming Machine (SR). The Digicon Series 3 is particularly popular in the beverage label market due to its added modules, notably the flatbed screen and Big Foot 50-ton hot foil emboss unit. Both modules can be jointly fitted on the system, enabling foiling and embossing in one pass, producing high-quality labels. ABG’s shrink sleeve seaming offering is also designed to meet the high productivity demands of the labelling market. By using Smart Wheel, a bespoke solvent application system with a motorised roller system, high seaming reliability can be achieved, thereby improving productivity and reducing operating costs and waste.

ABG was one of the few companies to exhibit machinery at the show. Alongside demonstrations, ABG’s head of operations, Jim Kehring, provided an in-depth look into the company’s latest products, and how its breadth of finishing technologies is accommodating the latest digital printing solutions. He also gave an insight into automation developments for 2023.

Al Spendlow, ABG’s North American Director in the US, commented: “Dscoop bounced back as another great moment to reconnect with customers and learn.”

ABG’s booth at Labelexpo Mexico in April also didn’t disappoint. Not only did it enable the company to showcase more of its digital finishing capabilities, notably a Digicon Lite 3, together with their purpose-built label RFID tag insertion solution, the Omega Ti200, it also provided an opportunity to promote its growing Latin American presence. ABG’s new dedicated sales and service office, based in Santiago, Chile, together with the appointment last year of Hugo Barranco as ABG’s official distributor in Mexico, aims to provide increased levels of support for customers across the region.

“It was a real pleasure to exhibit at Dscoop and Labelexpo Mexico,” concluded ABG’s Global Sales Director, Matt Burton. “Both events have enabled our North and South America teams the chance to network with customers, give updates on our latest innovations and demonstrate our cutting-edge print finishing solutions. We pride ourselves on being customer focused and relish the opportunities to keep our customers updated on all developments at ABG.”
