Abbott Label expands capability with ABG ECTR turret rewinder investment

A B Graphic International (ABG) has supplied Abbott Label, a US-based family run trade-only label manufacturing company, with a Vectra ECTR 4 spindle turret rewinder - their first equipment purchase from the leading finishing specialists.

Established in 2001, Abbott Label consists of four strategically located manufacturing facilities based in Dallas, Georgia, California and Illinois. Operating an HP Indigo WS6900 and a Domino N610i, the company runs a digital print production centre alongside its head office at its 100,000 sq ft Dallas facility. Additional capabilities at its other sites include running Mark Andy flexo presses, up to 20 inches wide and up to eight colours.

With customer service very much at the core of the company, Abbott Label base their entire business model on getting information and products to their customer base faster and smoother than their competition. The Vectra ECTR 17in (440mm) supplied to Abbott Label can run at a top speed of 150m/min, thereby helping the company to increase workflow efficiencies and reduce lead times. It is also fully upgradable with a wide range of options, including automatic core loading, finished roll closure with print and apply label application, and ABG’s fleyeVision 100% camera inspection system.
