The Young Professionals Network (YPN) workshop, "From Energy Eater to Energy Giver," hosted by Laura Bas and proudly sponsored by Delfort, showcased the immense potential of the youngest generation in driving innovation within the workplace. Held on May 22, 2024, just before the FINAT European Label Forum 2024 in Athens, Greece, this interactive workshop emphasized the pivotal role of young professionals in transforming outdated processes into efficient and attractive systems for both junior and senior employees.

At their General Assembly held on the occasion of the European Label Forum 2024 from 22-24 May in Athens, the FINAT members elected Roberto Martinez Porta (Avery Dennison) as FINAT Board member. He succeeded his colleague Noël Kasmi who has meanwhile left the label industry and consequently had to step down from the Board. Roberto also succeeds Noël in the role of FINAT Treasurer and Executive Board member.

Labelexpo Global Series has announced that registration is now open for Labelexpo India 2024, the only dedicated event in the South Asia region for the labels and package printing industry.

The FINAT European Label Forum 2024 welcomed 280 visitors from 24 countries to sunny Athens on 22-24 May, including the event’s highest-ever number of label printers. The tone of the self-adhesive label industry association’s 65th annual conference was one of cautious optimism amid rising growth and slowing inflation following the European sector’s annus horribilis in 2023.

Labelexpo Americas 2024 focuses on how converters can jump on board the RFID train following the expansion of Walmart’s RFID Mandate to include most categories of retail products. Andy Thomas-Emans reports.

CheMI was established in 2003 as the platform for downstream users of chemical substances or mixtures across manufacturing industries. Winners of the FINAT Sustainability Awards will be announced at Europe’s leading packaging sustainability event – the Sustainable Packaging Summit, on 12th November 2024 in Amsterdam. This has been announced thanks to a partnership between Summit organizer Packaging Europe and FINAT, the international association for the European label industry.
