Polymer registration
The CARACAL subgroup for polymers met for the first time on September 11 to discuss how to define the requirements for polymer registration under REACH. Current topics focus on how to define PRRs (Polymers Requiring Registration) and PLCs (Polymers of Low Concern), as well as the data requirements for the registered substances, following the findings of the report prepared by the Wood consultancy. There is still a lot of discussion ongoing on this topic, but the Commission expects to have a strategy set by the end of 2021.
