Fedrigoni Self-Adhesives is moving closer to more circular products with the recycled Papers& Films now part of the product portfolio

The leading company for the production of self-adhesive materials and prime papers launches its new range of recycled Papers & Films, made with partially or totally recycled face stocks and release liners. These materials, suitable for applications in the food, home care, beauty & personal care, and beverage industries, guarantee high quality and efficiency, foster circularity without sacrificing beauty.

In line with the ambitious Fedrigoni Group’s roadmap to become a leading sustainable business, by 2030 the Fedrigoni Self-Adhesives division envisions to increase the volume of advanced ESG solutions in its product portfolio from 35% to 70%.

Design for recycling is among the key strategies daily pursued by Fedrigoni Self-Adhesives to reach this goal. The strategy includes favouring the recycling and reuse of materials, increasing as much as possible the use of recycled materials, and reducing the quantity of raw materials used. Moreover, the Division is striving to, wherever possible, eliminate or reduce materials that are difficult to recycle.

Through research and technological innovation, Fedrigoni Self-Adhesives is upgrading its most common materials that make big numbers on the market. As the latter are mostly used in the large-scale distribution, the Company chose to trigger a single material change that can make a difference in its impact. The result is an enrichment of their wide portfolio with the new range of recycled papers & films.

Regarding the Recycled Papers, Fedrigoni Self-Adhesives developed COATED 80 RECYCLED FSC™ and VELLUM RECYCLED FSC™, greneer solutions compared to their counterparts Coated 80 and Vellum Papers, mostly used in the labelling sector at a large-scale distribution level.

As far as concern the range of recycled polypropylene and recycled polyethylene films, Fedrigoni Self-Adhesives engineered virgin-grade quality self-adhesive materials, capable of satisfying the high performing requirements of the labelling industry. The PP films can have a recycled content that ranges from 85% to 90%, the highest amount in all the portfolio, or having a 30% recycled PP for a good sustainability/price ratio.

Differently, the PE films are made with a 30% of recycled content, but still ensuring high quality and a minor use of new raw materials in the production process.

Common to both the PP and PE films is the sustainability certification of the facestocks. Indeed, all the facestocks have obtained the ISCC certification: the sustainability certification system covering the entire supply chain and all kinds of biobased feedstocks and renewables, for all our materials.

For Fedrigoni Self-Adhesives is a matter of accountability towards its customers, built through tangible progresses at the product level. The Company's commitment to sustainability also includes increasingly ensuring the traceability of its supply chain and providing data externally with transparency.
