UN report on LCA approach for single-use plastic products

The UN Environment Programme released a report "Addressing single-use plastic products pollution using a life cycle approach". The report covers life cycle assessments for different types of single-use plastic products (SUPPs), an overview of policymaking alternatives and provides case studies in different countries/regions, the EU among them, of policies involving life cycle approaches. A major conclusion of the report is that a systems change is necessary for addressing SUPP pollution, requiring comprehensive transformation of policies at all levels, and a new way of thinking for all stakeholders.
