MPS boosts communication of innovations with new Commercial Product Manager

With the appointment of Rens Driessen as their new Commercial Product Manager, MPS Systems is boosting the commercial importance of communicating its product innovations.

In addition to responsibility in structuring and sharing valuable information about MPS’ existing and new innovations, Driessen will also keep an eye on developments in the label and packaging printing market. With a background as an application engineer and project manager for a machine manufacturer, Driessen is now ready to translate his technical knowledge into sharing expertise.

“MPS invests extremely well in constantly improving the quality, ease of operation and flexibility of their presses,” Driessen commented. “However, a lot can be gained by mapping these technical innovations and making their features and benefits more visible and understood externally.”

Driessen will work together intensively with Thijs Bodd (MPS Technical Product Manager) and the MPS Research & Development department. Driessen added: “As a mechanical engineer, Thijs has a rich background and extensive knowledge about the technical side of machine developments. With the information he and the R&D team provide, I will ensure these are made visible and communicated in an informative way, for example through our website, blogs, videos and infographics.”

MPS innovations that Driessen will focus on in the months ahead are, among others: improved web tension, slide-out ink drawer, iControl intelligent press interface and the flexible open ink system.
