Five additional MPS presses for Reflex Labels

New presses contribute to sustainability as the company’s key goal

Reflex Labels, one of the largest companies of its kind in the UK, recently ordered another five MPS flagship EF multi-substrate flexo presses for label and packaging production. Specifications of the ordered presses are: one 8-colour/430mm press, two 9-colour/520mm presses and two 10 colour/430mm presses complete with APC (Automated Print Control) Packages, providing automated servo control of all relevant press settings. The machines intended for the Label Plus division of the business will be equipped with multiple screen units, cold foiling and the very latest Flowman hot foiling system from Pantec in Switzerland. The machines will also be equipped with various laminating and booklet equipment that can be moved from press to press in a matter of minutes via the unique Ultraflex system that is now so popular amongst high end label producers all over the world.

Sustainability is a key reason why Reflex chose MPS. Ian Kendall, CEO of Reflex Label said: “One of many interests Reflex and MPS have in common is the commitment to sustainable solutions. During press demonstrations at the MPS headquarters in the Netherlands, we saw first-hand proof of integrated waste reduction and ultimate flexibility. One of our low-waste solutions is the production of linerless labels, a technology that MPS is known for as an early adopter and supporter, also evident in their participation of the debut Linerless Trail at Labelexpo Europe 2015, and again at Labelexpo Americas 2016.”

Another reason for choosing MPS, cites Kendall, is first-class machinery. “We only purchase the very best available machinery to meet the growing demands of our customers, for more complex and intricate label and packaging designs that ensure their products stand out from the crowd. MPS presses are robust, high in quality, and ensure the optimum printing productivity coupled to the very best print results. Another major influence in choosing MPS was their impressive service response and customer focus, the machines are incredibly reliable but when we do need a little help, the MPS team is always there for us.”

Nick Tyrer, Sales Director of MPS UK Ltd. concludes: “Reflex Labels has very quickly grown into one of our biggest customers here in the UK. We are delighted with the continuation of our partnership and with the addition of these five MPS presses to Reflex’s advanced manufacturing sites.” We look forward to continued success and growth together in the years to come.
