MISSION & OBJECTIVES

AIMS

FINAT exists to promote the interests of self-adhesive labelling. Uniquely structured for an industry association, it brings together both converters and suppliers. Reflecting the partnership within the self-adhesive value chain which has contributed so significantly to the dynamic development of the self-adhesive labelling industry, and which keeps it at the forefront of innovation today.

 

 

FINAT was founded in Paris in 1958 and moved in 1969 to its present headquarters in The Hague, The Netherlands. With approximately 600 members in around 50 countries around the world, FINAT has much to offer to label converters and all suppliers to the labelling industry in terms of information exhange and the opportunity to network internationally.

 

 

SCOPE AND FUNCTIONS

  • Represent members' interests whenever, and wherever, possible
  • Provide a central source for industry information
  • Offer comprehensive training and definitive technical publications
  • Represent the industry's views at government level
  • Act as an information source on legislative issues
  • Establish and maintain industry-related test methods and standards
  • Provide a proactive global meetings forum for members
